NaNoWriMo: Day 15 HALF-WAY Point!!!

nano_ywp_participant_icon_red_small15 Days of writing. 15 days of racking your brain on plot twists, setting descriptions, character dialogue. Are you close to the climax of your story? Do you see the changes and long strides you’ve made? Once there was a seed of an idea, and today there’s a whole big real world out there. That you created.

Be proud! Shout from the balconies (or your porch, patio or bedroom door!) I AM a Novelist! I will prevail!!!

OK, back to reality, here , folks. I have a confession. I’ve had a rough week. The boss has been dumping work on me daily, my car had some, ahem, problems, and I’m trying desperately to finish bdcoverBreaking Dawn before the Twilight movie premieres in SEVEN MORE DAYS!!!movieposter2

So, my word count has lagged behind.
But, I am committed to a 3 hour write-in tomorrow (where I bring my laptop and extra caffeine to a designated space to write like crazy with other writers.) I should be at 25,000 words by midnight tonight. Not going to happen and I’ve come to terms with that. But I’m pressing on and so must you!

Go check out the forums on the Young Writers NaNoWriMo site. Compete in a word war. Do it now.

Look at your clock, now write like mad for 15 minutes, without pausing, without editing (you shouldn’t be doing that anyway!) and then…stop! count how many words you wrote. Now, aim higher. Do it again. And again. Tired? Good!

Post your results here! Dare someone else to beat you!
